On the fourth Saturday of the month, at 4p, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bangor. On Park Street offers a free bean supper. They even give you a brown bag lunch for the next day! If there is a 5th Saturday to a month, they do supper then too. The beans and potato salad are homemade, and if you arrive early you might get some quiche or ribs.
Do you want to be on your own, but not alone? The home is governed by a Board of Managers consisting of representatives from each of the 12 churches that existed in Bangor in 1891. It is the mission of the Board to provide a stable environment where each resident is treated with kindness, courtesy, and respect based on the principles of the Christian faith.
